Our Sustainability Plan

At Babybibs we want to make sure we are doing our bit to help the planet we live in. By doing this we make the planet a better place for our children's, children.

Below are the steps we have introduced to our business:

One Tree Planted

We’re happy to announce that we’ve partnered with One Tree Planted to plant trees!
One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to global reforestation. They plant trees to restore
nature and biodiversity. They also raise awareness about the importance of trees, offer businesses like
ours a simple sustainability solution, and motivate younger generations to do something positive for the
environment.
For every product sold we give you the opportunity to buy a tree! It's a small amount to make a big difference.

Look out for the option to plant a tree on checkout or look out for the Green widget.

Our Packaging

Our Mail bags are made from polythene film which is manufactured from at least 25% post consumer waste and are also 100% Oxo-biodegradable*.

The term ‘Oxo-biodegradable’ is a hybridisation of two words, oxidation and biodegradable. It clearly defines a two step process initiated by an additive called 'Reverte' to degrade the polythene film and make it available for biodegradability within the environment when a bag has finished its useful life, usually within a set time period depending on the % added.  1% would trigger in around 6-8 months.

The additive is designed specifically to address the issue of plastic waste that gets into the environment and cannot be realistically collected. It has been used in numerous PE and PP applications for many years and now.

Our Tissue Paper is acid free paper and kinder to the environment.
Tissue paper is eco-friendly as it is made from recycled materials that are sourced sustainably. Once used, you can then choose to reuse your tissue paper for future wrapping or crafts, or alternatively, it is 100% Biodegradable.
